Layers Landscape Architecture is a studio based in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, offering attentive and highly personalized landscape architectural services. Founded by licensed landscape architect Taylor Fehmel, PLA, the studio engages a select number of projects to ensure each landscape is thoughtfully layered, horticulturally grounded, and deeply responsive to place.
An East Coast native with over ten years of experience in landscape architecture design firms, Fehmel brings a deep horticulture knowledge shaped by early work in botanic gardens and arboretums and formal training at Louisiana State University, where she earned her Master of Landscape Architecture with speciality in Wetland Science and Management.
Licensed in South Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana, she works closely with clients and collaborators to create timeless, functional landscapes that balance clarity, beauty, and long-term value.
